Yesterday, Shaun took the day off, and we went for a quick shopping trip over to Detroit. So nice that it only takes 25 minutes to get to the USA border! Gotta love this location.
We went to Target, Dots, Oakland Mall, and a few other places...and got quite a few great deals.
I'll have to take a picture of my most favorite item I bought yesterday and post it. It's a stand-up 3 tier fruit bowl type stand. I absolutely love it, because it gives me so much room to put all my fruit and healthy snacks, and gets all of the fruit bowls off my counter.
And, what a great trip we had back to Windsor last evening. We hit the border on the US side, and usually, there is at least a 15 minute wait, sometimes much more. But last night, there were about 4 empty lanes, and we just cruised right through. We were hoping they didn't pull us in to pay duty, but this time they did.
Oh well..we got amazing deals while we were there. Shaun got 2 suits for $120 (taxes in!)
OH, and not to mention GAS! In Detroit right now, it's only 44 CENTS/L! Amazing. We were almost completely empty, and filled up our tank for $15.50! That is insane.
On another note, less than 3 weeks until we head to Halifax, so really looking forward to that.
Also, Pastor Nathan and Mandy (Youth pastors here in Essex) had their first baby yesterday. Benjamin William-Clark Hill was born at approximately 3:30 AM on December 1st weighing 8 pounds 3 oz. He is a cutie. We dropped in to visit with them last night on our way back home. Mommy and Daddy are doing great and are very proud parents!
Until next time,
Michelle
