Date Night with Mitch & Amanda!

As you can see, I beat Shaun this round!!! Some may say there was a computer glitch because somehow I got a strike (which none of us remember!) But that's besides the point!
Amanda excited about her bowling skills!
Either shocked the ball was going straight, or annoyed it was headed for the gutter!

Special Days with Ben!

Ben is Pastor Nathan & Mandy's little guy. They just had another baby, Sophie, but she was, unfortunately, in the hospital for quite a few weeks when she was born. The only good thing was, that we got to spend LOTS of extra time with Ben at our house! Here he is snoozing in the play pen.

Special Days with Ben!

Ben had fallen asleep in the car, and this was me carrying him in to put him to bed. What a cutie!
Shaun having loads of fun playing with Ben :)
Pointing as always.."what's that???"!
Don't you just love him!
Reclining in his "high chair!"

A cutie pie!

Poor thing..Shaun was having fun one day the Rivest's were over, and he picked up Katherine to hand her over to her Mom (over top of the half wall in the kitchen), but forgot how low the ceilings are at our house, and bumped her head quite hard into the ceiling! Thankfully, she could wear my very fashionable ice pack!

Dinner with Tom & Sharon

Yes, this is Tom and Shaun's creation. Might I remind everyone that Tom is on the board, and Shaun is a Pastor! LOL And the two of them together put together quite a show!
Us, with the creation!

Yes, they look innocent, but they are not! Thanks Tom and Sharon for an amazing dinner :)

Pastor Brent!

Here is Pastor Brent having a funny moment..with Montreal Canadian socks on his head!

Our stools at the counter work perfectly as a highchair for Ben!
Aww, sound asleep! I just love this little guy.

Ashley's Party (for passing the UFE!)

We had a party at our place to celebrate with Ashley!
Walt was holding Julia. She's a cutie.

Randoms!

OK, so this is what happens at our teacher meetings (for church). Three lovely ladies on our couch, with a blanket, laughing hysterically! Well, at least we have fun!!
Lobster Dinner at Gerry & Gaye's! This was my first time trying lobster..like this (I've had it in chowder before). Shaun just gave me a few, pre-ready pieces from his lobster, and I must say, it was very tasty!
On our way to church. Mom gave me this leather jacket while I was home at Christmas!

One week - successful!

Shaun and I are on a "no eating out" plan, and we have done well our first week! Much better than usual.

We also set the goal of only spending $35 per week on groceries.

So here is the scoop.

We only spent $6.50 on groceries! And there were 2 times where we were kind of in a pinch, and needed to grab something at Wendy's..but even after that, we still came in under budget, and spent only $32.00 for the entire week!

So, I guess I am changing my plan slightly - that we can eat out, as long as it stays under the $35.00 allotment for the week. So, if we eat what we have in the house, and use coupons for all of our shopping..we will likely have a little bit left over to squeeze in a Wendy's trip now and then!

I am loving this! I am getting addicted to saving money :)

Have a blessed week!

Swag Bucks - Earn FREE approx. $5/month at Amazon.com!

Another tip from Joanne - SWAG BUCKS!

You can sign up for a free account through the link on my blog. Basically, you can use it as a search engine (like google), but any time that you search through it, you accumulate swag bucks (which when added up can earn you FREE amazon.com gift cards, and much much more!

You can also earn swag bucks when you do online purchases. If you shop through their site, you get even more points! For example, I just ordered contacts online, through lens.com, but if I had known about this last week, I could have ordered from lens.com (but through the swag bucks site), and received LOTS of SB!

Check it out :) It really takes no time. Just do your google searches through SB, and EARN, EARN, EARN!

12:00 MIDNIGHT, and so it begins!

Well, after an evening with my dear friend Joanne, I am pumped!! She has recently been hooked on coupon shopping, and now has me addicted!

So, starting tomorrow, my goal is $35/week on groceries, and lots and lots of coupons!

I am going to the bank, putting my grocery money for the month in an envelope, and will venture out on this crazy journey! One day at a time, and see how it goes!

OH..and one final thing - Shaun and I are commiting to NO EATING OUT for the entire month! Yikes! That will be very difficult for us. But we are getting hooked on the idea of possibly saving SO much money in the run of a month!

I'll let you know how the journey goes!

You can't be serious!!!

Just a quick funny story.

Today I dropped into Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up a make up brush (powder brush). The kind lady at cosmetics showed me this brush that she thought was nice (looked ok to me). But as I went to walk away to purchase it, I asked, "oh, by the way, how much is this?" And I nearly dropped to the floor when she said, $45!!!!!!!!! Is it just me, or is that absolutely ridiculous!!! A small make up brush for $45 is outrageous!

Well, Shaun was standing next to me when this conversation took place, and he thought it was hilarious.

Good night!

Finally!!!!!!!!!

Well, today we went to Detroit for a quick shopping trip, and found a new camera at a great price! FINALLY!

Our old one was going to be almost as expensive to fix, as to replace brand new. So we went with the brand new idea. Worked out great, because we got another Olympus camera..so our two batteries from our previous camera still work, as well as the memory stick and chargers, etc. So now we have lots of spares!

I will try to post some pictures tomorrow..I have lots of catching up to do!

Goodnight from Essex :)

Camera Troubles

Well, just thought I should write a quick note to let you know that our camera is broken for the time being (which is why I have not posted anything in about a month!)

We are trying to rectify this problem over the weekend, so I will hope to have some pictures posted by next week!

Bye for now!
