Well, just 3 more sleeps until Christmas! We will be heading to Halifax right on Christmas Day (leaving from Hamilton, which is about a 3 hour drive from here). We may actually drive to Hamilton on Christmas Eve, because there is a big storm being called for, beginning late on the 24th, and going right through until Christmas Day. I thought the storm was going to pass us, but looking at the Weather Network today, it looks as though we are going to be right in the middle of it. As freezing rain is being called for on the 25th, it's probably best if we take our time driving the night before.
We are very excited to see our family and friends! Of course, we will miss everyone here in Essex, and pray everyone has the most amazing Christmas!
Yesterday we popped over to Detroit to finish up some shopping, which was great. So now, basically everything is ready! One final shopping trip tonight for me (to get the last of Shaun's gifts), and that will be it. We are going to try to take our Christmas tree down as well before we head home. We've had it up since the first of November, so now I'm starting to get the urge to put it away (especially since we won't be here over Christmas to enjoy it).
I've watched TONS of Christmas movies lately (mainly because I pinched a nerve in my neck last week, and was house-bound for quite a few days because of the pain). I'm heading to the chiropractor tomorrow though, so I pray that will be the end of this episode!!
